LAKE REGION COMMUNITY FUND
AWARDS OVER $95,000 TO LOCAL GROUPS
Devils Lake, ND – The Lake Region Community Fund, a local volunteer-driven organization dedicated to supporting community needs, awarded $95,240 in grants to 29 local organizations working to improve and enhance quality of life throughout the Lake Region.
Each year, the 12-member board raises funds through the annual Red Packet Campaign, which collects donations from local businesses and individuals. Undesignated funds are awarded through the Community Fund’s annual grant program to support projects and programs that address needs throughout the community.
This year, generous contributions from community members, along with funds raised through the annual golf tournament and raffle, provided support for organizations whose projects align with the mission of the Lake Region Community Fund.
Thirty-three organizations applied for funding in April, with requests totaling more than $184,000. After reviewing each application, the board selected 29 organizations to receive funding. Grants supported a variety of community needs, including education, healthcare, youth programs, recreation, and community services.
